East & West .A journey from within

After 45 days of intense traveling, 220 hours of bus trips covered close to 12,000 KM through 16 European countries. From the charming city of Istanbul throughout the calm Balkan region, Moving across conservative East Europe, passing through the wealthy side of West Europe, and ending up in the cold Scandinavian region.

Through the trip, my feet learned how to form their paths and my heart was beating in a different rhythm. The time I spent away from familiar routines was the time I learned to abandon myself into the great vastness of the universe.

During the trip, East and West coincidentally met in the shape of a relationship between an Eastern man and a Western woman, between the East’s closed and conservative values and the West’s open and abundant ones.

Did the two different cultures meet on a common ground? Did they manage to impede the distinctive cultural aspects?
