Facing starvation and hypothermia, Thomas must struggle against his reluctant memory to decipher the strange note and gain access to a mysterious, padlocked crate, the only item in the cave offering the promise of food, clothing, and, most importantly, answers. Burdened by a memory populating in random fits, Thomas soon discovers he is freshly born a mature man afflicted with a fantastic condition, one providing him a mere thirty-three days to live. Thirty-three days to uncover the riddle of his malady and reconnect with his lost wife before a death-rebirth-death cycle starts again–for he is not the first Thomas Simmons to find himself in this cave, in this condition, and without memory.
