The Mule

An old 75-year-old mountain man called Francis Thibodeaux might be on his last roundup as he wanders the high country of Montana, not far from the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. The time is the start of the 1860s, with the Civil War on the horizon. The Crow Nation’s land encompasses the region filled with nomadic tribes following herds of buffalo thundering across the wild, untamed country.
Tosa and Bachee are two stalwart warriors who shadow Francis under orders from their Chief. Their routine mission encounters unexpected troubles that require them to make difficult choices.
Francis and his longtime companion, the mule Buttercup, and his horse Trickster are pushed to their limits.
